How it works

  1. Point your camera at the code or upload a photo or screenshot of it.
  2. We read the code and reveal the link or payment details hidden inside.
  3. You get a trust score and a clear recommendation before anything opens.

What to review

The destination address

See the address encoded in the QR code before you visit it.

Lookalike domains

Compare the destination with the organisation’s known website.

Payment context

Be cautious if a code unexpectedly asks for a transfer, card details or a login.

Your next step

Use an official app or known website if the code or destination looks suspicious.

Frequently asked questions

What is quishing?
Quishing is phishing delivered through a QR code. A fraudulent code can lead to an imitation login or payment page.
Does a QR scan prove the destination is safe?
A low-risk result means no clear warning signs were found. It is not proof that a site or message is genuine. New scams can be missed and legitimate content can be flagged.
Do I need to install an app?
The QR scanner runs in your browser. Camera access requires your permission; you can also upload a QR image.
What information should I keep out of a check?
The content you submit is processed on our backend. Signed-in checks can be saved in scan history and deleted there. Never submit passwords, verification codes, full card numbers or recovery phrases. See our privacy policy for processing and retention details.
